Play date group offers support for ADD/ADHD children, families in Whatcom County

Published: October 29, 2012

Children's Play Date Group for families dealing with ADD/ADHD meets the second Saturday of every month in Nooksack, according to Nicole Sandoval Postma.

She says it is an informal, community group offering support, tips and a listening ear. "At the support and play date group, we will have the opportunity to talk and meet with other parents who have been blessed with an ADD/ADHD child," she says.

The group meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Nooksack Valley Reformed Church, 602 E. Second St., Nooksack. The children will have the chance to play with other children with ADD/ADHD, and their siblings.

Discussion topics may include diet, parenting strategies and local ADD/ADHD education. There will be light refreshments and coffee for the families and children. No childcare is available.
